Royal Ascot 2018
Ascot racecourse is located just 6 miles away from Windsor Castle, in the famous town of Ascot. For five days each year, Royal Ascot will take place at this legendary racecourse, with six world-class races each day, including eight Group 1 races in total.

The event itself with feature eight excellent Group 1 races, with the Ascot Gold Gup taking place on Thursday 21st June.
Last year the Ascot Gold Cup was won by Big Orange, which was ridden by James Doyle and trained by Michael Bell, who managed to hold onto a narrow victory over the Aidan O’Brien trained favourite, Order of St. George (who is likely to go off close favourite for the Gold Cup this year).
Schedule and Races
This year, Royal Ascot runs from Tuesday 19th June to Saturday 23rd June, with at least one Group 1 race each day.
On the opening day, the feature race will be the King’s Stand Stakes, one of the most prestigious 5f sprints that takes place throughout the racing season.
Wednesday’s feature race is headlined by the Prince of Wale’s Stakes, another Group 1 race.
As mentioned previously, the Ascot Gold Cup will take place on the Thursday, while Friday hosts the Commonwealth Cup.
The Diamond Jubilee Stakes will bring the meeting to a close on Saturday 23rd June.
